honey Indian Railways Recruitment 2024: The window for applications for 5,696 Assistant Loco Pilots (ALPs) positions within the Indian Railway is set to close today, February 19. This opportunity invites eligible and keen candidates to submit their applications through the official websites of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB).
Aspiring applicants must note the specified age criteria, as individuals aged between 18 and 30 years as of July 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for RRB ALP 2024. Additionally, relaxation in the upper age limit has been granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories by government regulations.
Application Process and Fee
Candidates are asked to pay an application fee to complete the submission process.
For SC, ST, ex-servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minority, and EBC category candidates, the application fee stands at Rs.250. Conversely, candidates falling under all other categories are required to pay Rs.500 as the application fee.
Selection Procedure
The selection process for these positions entails five stages, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of candidates’ capabilities.
- Computer Based Tests (CBT 1 and CBT 2): In the initial stages, candidates will undergo computer-based tests to assess their aptitude and knowledge.
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Following the CBTs, successful candidates will proceed to the CBAT, which evaluates their suitability for the role.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates who clear the CBAT will undergo document verification to authenticate their eligibility and qualifications.
- Medical Examination (ME): Finally, candidates who successfully navigate the previous stages will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the physical requirements of the position.
Application Requirements
As part of the application process, candidates are required to provide several documents and materials, including:
- A recent color passport photo taken against a white background, formatted as a JPEG file within 30-70 KB.
- A scanned signature, also in JPEG format and within the specified size range.
- SC/ST certificate, if applicable, in PDF format not exceeding 500 KB. This certificate is necessary for obtaining free train travel passes.
- Candidates are advised to keep at least 12 copies of the photograph handy for future stages of the selection process.
