Sanjay Dutt conducts ‘Pind Daan’ ceremony in Gaya, praying for past, present, and future blessings

Recently, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt performed the ‘pind daan’ ritual at the Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Bihar. Sharing a glimpse of the sacred ceremony on Saturday, he posted a video on his Instagram account along with a heartfelt caption expressing his reverence for the tradition.

In his Instagram post, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Honoring our ancestors with Pind Daan in the sacred land of Gaya. A spiritual journey reconnecting with roots and seeking blessings for the past, present, and future. Grateful for this profound experience that reminds us of our heritage. Jai Bholenath 🙏🏻”

The actor specifically prayed for the peace of the souls of his departed parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, during the temple visit on Thursday. The ‘pind daan’ ritual, a Hindu practice, involves paying homage to the deceased. Sanjay Dutt performed this ritual at three holy sites in Gaya: the Phalgu River, Vishnupad Temple, and the Akshay Vat tree. The entire ritual typically takes about two hours and can be completed in a single day.

Sanjay Dutt’s Work Front

On the professional front, Sanjay Dutt is gearing up for his role in the sci-fi horror comedy film ‘The Virgin Tree,’ which features Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy, and Palak Tiwari in lead roles.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Sanjay shared, “I am pleased to back the film, which was exactly the script I was looking for. The film is the perfect blend of comedy and horror, with the right balance of chills and thrills.”

Moreover, Sanjay Dutt is set to star in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, and Disha Patani, scheduled for release on December 20, 2024. The actor expressed his eagerness to encourage fresh talent in the industry and praised the film’s director for assembling an eclectic cast.
