Preeti Dalal Israel-Iran Tensions: Tensions in the Gulf region are rising with Iran and Israel standing in front of each other on the verge of a war breakout. The Israeli authorities hailed Israeli Defence system since the system successfully protected the country from a shower of drone attacks.
Iran’s attack on Israel
Israeli Military spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said that the country was successfully protected from unprecedent drone attack carried by Iran. Daniel Hagari said that Iran fired 170 drone along with 30 cruise missiles and more than 120 ballistic missiles. The attack on Israel by Iran was carried out on Saturday and Sunday. The Israeli military spokesperson also said that a number of more than 300 launches were carried out of which 99 percent were successfully intercepted by the defence systems in place, in Israel.
A small number of ballistic missiles did reach the Israeli soil causing minor damage to an air base.
Why did Iran attacked Israel
On April 1, Monday, a consular building in Iran’s Embassy in Syrian capital of Damascus was attacked by an air strike. According to Iran, this attack was carried out by Israel. The aerial attack on Israel by Iran, which took place on Saturday and Sunday was a retaliation move by Iran.
Iran has been highly vocal against Israel for carrying out it’s operations against Hamas in Gaza.
Matter deemed to be concluded
After carrying out attack on Israel, Iran’s mission to UN took to twitter to provide reasons for their actions. The post read that the attack was a retaliatory action against the attack on it’s embassy in Syria. With this, the whole matter should be deemed concluded. Iran’s post read “The matter can be deemed concluded. However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. ”

Iran warns US
USA and Iran have also been using harsh words against each other. USA has ensured IRONCLAD support for Israel, saying that USA will not participate in the conflict but will support Israel by supporting its defence capabilities, by even shifting the deployment of aircraft and ballistic missile defence destroyers to the region.
Since , USA has been showing IRONCLAD support to Israel, Iran has warned USA for staying away from the conflict saying “It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!”

Who has condemned the attack on Israel
Several countries and international organisations and unions have condemned the attack on Israel by Iran. These countries include United Kingdom, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, Canada, Chile and Norway. Apart from these countries, UN, European Union and European council have also condemned the attack.
