Parliamentary Panel Suggests : Hindi and Local Languages can be medium of instruction in institutes.
mediologyIn the 11th report presented in front of President Draupadi Murmu, The parliament committee of languages headed by Union Home minister Amit Shah recommended that Hindi and other local languages should be preferred more in states more than English language. Report which is present in front of President it recommended that Hindi and other local languages should bee preferred more than the English language in all Technical and non technical institutes. The committee also suggested that English language should be made as an option of medium.
The committee also said that Hindi should be given the full respect and should e the medium of education 100%in ‘A’ category states. Majorly the committee suggested that IITs and KendriyaVidhyalaya’s and other Hindi speaking states should be having Hindi as their education medium and other states with their local languages.
Supporting the statement BJP leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi also said “English is an alien language” and we need to eliminate it and should be replaced by Local and Hindi language.
All the states and UT are divided into 3 groups on the biases of the progressive Hindi usage. UP,MP, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Andaman and Nikobar, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi are some of the states which are in ‘A’ category states. In the report presented it also made it clear that they want Hindi to be one of the official languages of UN.
This decision is being taken by the panel in order to increase the use of Indian language Hindi across the country, and promotion of other local state languages spoken in every particular state.
